Lawn Disease Is Usually Misdiagnosed
A lawn that browns out in patches gets blamed on drought, on grubs, on the mower, on anything except what it usually is. Fungal disease looks like a watering problem right up until the grass is gone.
Misdiagnosed and untreated fungus wrecks a lawn quickly. We identify what you actually have, then build a treatment plan that repairs the damage and restores your yard’s health. If you think something is wrong out there, call us. The inspection is free.
The Diseases We See in North Mississippi
Most lawn disease here is driven by weather, which means it turns up on a schedule and it can be caught early. These are the ones we deal with most.
Brown Patch
Circular brown rings in fescue through warm, humid nights. The most common disease call we get, and the one most often mistaken for drought stress.
Large Patch
The zoysia and bermuda version, showing up in spring and fall when the soil is cool and wet. Patches spread outward from a ring of orange-tinged grass.
Dollar Spot
Small bleached spots about the size of a coin that run together into larger patches. Often a sign the lawn is short on nitrogen.
Gray Leaf Spot
Hot, humid weather brings grey lesions on the blade. It moves fast in new fescue and can thin a stand before you notice the individual spots.
Pythium Blight
The fast one. Greasy dark streaks after hot nights and heavy watering, and it can take out large areas in a day or two. This is the one worth calling about immediately.
Spring Dead Spot
Bermuda that greens up everywhere except in dead circles. The damage happens over winter, but you do not see it until spring, so it gets treated the previous fall.

Other Services We Offer
Fertilization & Weed Control
The eight-visit program that keeps the lawn thick enough to resist disease in the first place. Most disease problems start as thin, stressed turf.
Core Aeration
Compaction holds water at the surface, and standing moisture is what most lawn fungus needs. Aeration takes that away.
Pest Control
Fire ants, grubs, armyworms and more. Insect damage and disease damage look alike, and we check for both.
